Motorcycle Insurance

The motorcycle insurance requirements in the state of Louisiana mirror their auto insurance requirements in terms of the minimum amount of coverage. This makes sense in terms of protection and it also eliminates any potential confusion of the drivers. In terms of property damage, the minimum that must be met is $25,000 worth of coverage. The other parallel to the auto insurance minimums comes in the form of bodily injury protection, both in per person coverage and per accident. For each person that is injured or killed, the minimum is $15,000, while for each accident, one must have at least $30,000 of coverage.
