DUI Violations

A DUI violation is not just someone exceeding the .08 percent blood alcohol content limit that most states have imposed. While Louisiana has also established this percentage as part of their laws regarding a charge of driving under the influence, there are two other numbers that you should remember as well. For drivers under age 21, for example, they have their own BAC limit of .02 percent. Anything over that will be considered a DUI in the state. And for commercial drivers, who are also held to a different standard, it is crucial that they do not surpass the .04 limit that was imposed on them.
