Louisiana Bill of Sale

A bill of sale is not absolutely necessary in any transaction of a motor vehicle in the state of Louisiana. However, it can act as a valuable document in one particular scenario. If, for example, a car title does not contain the final price of a car sale, a bill of sale can be used to provide this information and evidence of the transaction. Also included in this document are the addresses, names and signatures of the buyer and the seller as well as a description of the car in question. The car description must feature a body description: make, model and year.
